Bellator Notches 200K Viewers in MTV2 Debut

With strong viewing options for MMA fans last Saturday with both the debut of Bellator on MTV2 and the Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson card on Showtime going head-to-head from 10-11 PM ET, it’s fantastic to hear the results of said “confrontation.”

At 9 PM ET, Bellator was able to draw a high of 244K views, with an average of 200K for their cable debut. The four quarterfinal bouts of the promotion’s 4th season welterweight tournament was broadcast live from the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California.

According to industry sources, Bellator 35 provided MTV2 with boosts in several key advertising demographics. Ratings were up 83 percent among men ages 18 to 49, 80 percent among men 18-34, and 133 percent among men 25 to 34.
