Surprise news has broken about May 21st intriguing rematch between unified light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal and challenger Bernad Hopkins. Hopkins held Pascal to draw in their first fight last December and he and his promoter Golden Boy strongly (and wrongly) criticised the objectivity of the judging in Pascal’s home province. But despite the bad blood and Golden Boy winning the purse bids all have agreed for the fight to head back to the champion’s stomping grounds, with Montreal’s Bell Center confirmed as the venue for the fight. It will be interesting to see how Hopkins responds to once again ceding home advantage.
