Jared Shaw Accuses Frank Shamrock Of Offering To Lose Against Kimbo Slice

News

An unpleasant story has broken with the Shaw family was again crawling out of their hole to slime all over mixed martial arts. Speaking to Sherdog Radio, Jared, the son of boxing promoter Gary, claimed that “Frank Shamrock pulled me in the back of a room, turned the music up and offered to work the fight against Kimbo Slice”.

This was a portrayed by Shaw as a fresh revelation in perhaps the most chaotic and important night in the recent history of the sport, where after Ken Shamrock was stopped from fighting Kimbo Slice apparently due to a cut sustained in training, the troubled EliteXC desperately fought to save their latest CBS show by finding the former youtube warrior a new opponent. Ken’s brother Frank was present to commentate on the event and offered to fight Slice despite it being on short notice and Shamrock being by no means a heavyweight. Unfortunately Shamrock was serving an injury suspension from the California State Athletic Commission and couldn’t confirm to EliteXC that he was cleared to fight. They therefore went with Seth Petruzelli who not only quickly knocked out Slice but went on to claim that he himself had been put under pressure to not take the fight to the ground. The ensuring firestorm caused the cancellation of the planned CBS-Showtime buyout of the organisation.

Shamrock reacted angrily to the claims, “It sounds like he’s trying to sell a book or something, or write a movie script,” said Shamrock before firmly saying he would never “fiddled with the truth”.
