A week before the Coen brothers’ True Grit is released on Blu-ray, studio Paramount to introduce no less than four westerns to the Blu-ray format.
Paramount Home Entertainment has unveiled its “Western Wave” of catalog Blu-ray titles for release on May 31st.
They include Big Jake (dir., George Sherman, 1971), A Man Called Horse (dir., Elliot Silverstein, 1970), Rio Lobo (dir., Howard Hawks, 1970), and Once Upon a Time in the West (dir., Sergio Leone, 1968).
If you have a father that’s a fan of Blu-ray and westerns these four titles, especially Leone’s Once Upon a Time in the West, should look great in HD.
So far, the only special features that have been is listed is for Once Upon a Time in West. And they are:
