The Mechanic Going to Kill DVD and Blu-ray, Coming in May

Most audiences and critics were split on the January release The Mechanic starring Jason Statham and Ben Foster (check out our review), but the title should perform well on home video.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced it for DVD and Blu-ray release on May 17th.

Not a particular feature-laden release, the only supplements are MovieIQ (BD only) and Deleted scenes (both BD and DVD).

The Blu-ray carries a suggested retail price of $34.95, while the DVD sells for $28.95.

Seasoned hitman Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) sets out to avenge the brutal murder of his mentor, Harry (Donald Sutherland), and finds himself joined by Harry’s vengeful son (Ben Foster), who is eager to follow in his late father’s footsteps, in this remake of the 1972 action thriller starring Charles Bronson and Jan-Michael Vincent.
