10 Thoughts on WWE Tough Enough 04.11.2011 – The Dog Run, The DeMott Demolition, A Shocking Elimination

Reviews, Top Story

Welcome to another edition of Tough Enough and I am here to throw in my 10 Thoughts on the show!  So let’s get started shall we?

1.  I’m glad they stepped up and found a better opening this week as the Phenomenal/Game/Awesome/etc was much better than just Austin talking for 2 minutes as hype.

2.  Seeing the determination between Michelle and Eric this week is awesome.  They tasted how close they came to being eliminated and they worked hard this week to make sure they didn’t wind up there again.  It’s admirable.

3.  Each and every week DeMott is driving hard on ‘Skid Mark’ Ryan.  It makes you wonder if he is just trying to get rid of the boy or if he generally is trying to make him better.  It’s hard to tell, but if Bill’s words are to be trusted then he just hates the ‘goofball’ and hopes to see him gone.

4.  Jeremiah’s accent offends me… and I’m from the South.  Seriously I would not be appreciative of that accent every week if he were to win this competition.

5.  Matt, the 9 year veteran, was given an opportunity to get in the ring and impress Trish, but instead of impressing her, Luke stole his opportunity to shine.  Matt may be a candidate for the bottom three unless he turns it around.

6.  It’s interesting having top stars on the show such as Austin, Booker, Trish, and their guest stars.  That’s one thing I always though NXT lacked.  NXT never had any of the REAL big stars on there for Pros or anything besides Jericho and Punk.  They should have had some of these guys on NXT to either talk to their Rookies or fight occasionally.

7.  The moment Ryan started crying when talking about his girlfriend of a year Tiffany… I broke down… I mean I couldn’t even focus straight.  I ran into the kitchen and grabbed a Kleenex to dab my eyes.  Yeahhh…. actually what happened is I lost any desire to see Ryan SKID MARK advance.  Yeah I know I’m a cynic and a heartless soul.  Michael is right… he is kinda like a girl.

8.  The Dog Run was pretty funny.  Eric talking crap to the dog as he carried him all the way to the finishing line was great.  It showed him at least trying as opposed to last week.  I did laugh when Michael got his from the dog.  The ‘goofball’ of the competition, Skid Mark, actually bonded with the dog as he tried to chew his flesh off of his arm.  However, the MVP of the Dog Race was none other than Jeremiah.  He carried the dog the entire way and never left full sprint.

9.  Rima may have put herself on the hot seat by being late on the Skills Challenge day.  But the ‘5 for Flinching’ was intense and definitely garnered respect from me for each of the competitors who just jumped right up.  Matt impressed me with this drill, but hey I’m a fan.

10.  The Bottom Three was no surprise including the Sleep Later Rima, the GoofOff Ryan, and the LostOpportunity Matt.  However, I disagree with the ending as I really liked Matt and hoped he would do well in the competition.  Ryan had much less of a case going for him but shockingly they decided to keep him… Sigh.

And quite frankly my dear… that’s a wrap!
