There’s no question that the biggest television event of the week is is Steve Carell’s exit from The Office.
For fans of the show wondering about how much of an impact Will Ferrell will have on Michael Scott’s final episode airing on Thursday, the show’s director says there is no cause for concern. Paul Feid said that Ferrell’s character is “busy with his own stuff” in the episode, which “helped clear the path for Michael’s last day to be his own.” Feig said the last scene on Thursday’s show is “the perfect sendoff” for Michael given “the style of the show and for the type of show [The Office] portends to be. It’s very satisfying.”
