WrestleMania 27 Earns 1 Million PPV Buys for WWE

After recruiting top talent from the world of entertainment to help hype the “showcase of the immortals,” early reports show that WWE reached its goal of 1 million PPV buys for WrestleMania 27. This year’s four-hour event took place in Atlanta on April 3rd and featured appearances from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi from MTV’s “Jersey Shore”.

This year’s event is up 30% in North America and 15% overseas compared to last year’s WrestleMania which generated 885,000 orders, down from 960,000 in 2009.
