For the first time ever all seven UFC champs made a public appearance together as part of the pre-UFC 129 festivities. Dominick Cruz, Jose Aldo, Frankie Edgar, Georges St. Pierre, Anderson Silva, Jon Jones and Cain Valesquez gathered on stage right before the weigh ins and took place in a Q&A MCed by Joe Rogan. St. Pierre, a native Canadian, an Aldo both had to leave early to tend to medical issue in the lead up to them stepping on the scales a few minutes later but both did take the time to address the crowd before exiting.

Most of Rogan’s questions concerned possible superfights and the nature/status of ongoig injuries. Silva, when asked about a possible fight with St. Pierre was booed, however when the topic turned to the possibility of an imminent retirement the crowd quickly changed their tune. He was also involved in another hypothetical superfight conversation, this one that involved Jon Jones. Jones, who is currently out with a hand injury, discussed how his healing was going along. He also spent a sizeable amount of time talking about his feud with Rashad Evans even clearing up what Evans mean when he called him a “swag jacker.” According to Jones, Evans was referencing the suit that he wore on the Jay Leno show as it was the exact wardrobe that Evans had worn in the past.

Cruz, meanwhile, said that everything has changed since he suffered a loss to Urijah Faber four years ago and that he is very confident going into their upcoming fight. Frankie Edgar was candid about the beating he took at the hands of Gray Maynard, though he did say that he wasn’t comfortable stating how many times he was knocked out in the first round of their fight at UFC 125.
