“Changes” is one of those annoying episode where everything seems dedicated to the idea that people can’t change. 13 explicitly says this several times, as does House, and all the subplots reinforce this point. I think most people got it after 10 minutes, and we don’t have to be bashed over the head over and over again. Basically, the patient stays an optimist, the fake Jennifer remains fake, the real Jennifer is still real, Chase returns to sex, 13 is still going to die, House is still a bastard, and so on.
If not for the way the message was lathered on, I may have liked the episode even if the plot was dull. Chase versus Foreman was charming and House, as usual, have some funny, biting lines.
