Darren Aronofsky Exits Wolverine Sequel to find Human Nature

Casting News, News, Projects, Rumors

After leaving the Wolverine sequel for family reasons, Director Darren Aronofsky is circling his next project per Vulture. They’re reporting Aronofsky is considering a science-fiction script called Human Nature, which has Oscar winner George Clooney is attached to star.

Human Nature about a cryogenically frozen man who wakes up to a world in which the human race has become another species’ pet. Penned by a script from Jeff Welch that has been around for almost two decades, this would be Aronofsky’s first project since declining Wolverine 2 and his followup to Oscar nominated Black Swan.

What does this mean? The Wolverine sequel always sounded good in theory but Aronofsky seems a better fit for this sort of material as opposed to a comic book sequel to a franchise he didn’t begin. Working with Clooney would also be a good thing as Aronofsky always gets great performances from his stars and seeing how well Clooney works with him would be something as well.
