Ink Inc (Jesse Neal & Shannon Moore w/The Book of Dilligaf) vs. Mexican America (SuperMex Hernandez & Anarchia w/Sarita & Rosita)
Solid tag team match to start things off. Match started off with a burst of action, and settled down to mostly feature heat on Shannon Moore. He finally got the hot tag near the end, but the Mexican America ladies got involved, and Hernandez hit a flip side slam on Neal for the pin.
Winners: Mexican America

Video recaps.

Because Charter sucks and is a horrible cable company, I missed the first 15 minutes of the show. Thanks to Widro for filling in!

Jeff and Karen Jarrett come out now, and Karen is on crutches and wearing a boot. Mike Tenay pisses me off just by talking. How does someone get injured when they don’t do anything? Sure, you’ve only booked nine matches, let’s add some promo time. Jarrett says Karen is too injured and thus there will be no match tonight. Mick Foley comes out and says they used someone else’s x-ray, and there will be a match tonight. Foley then lamely segues into the “Wrestling Matters” campaign, which has already worn out its welcome.

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Brian Kendrick, who will face Robbie E tonight for some reason. He wants to bring the X-Division back to its former prominence.

MATCH #2: Brian Kendrick vs. Robbie E

Kendrick acts all weird and doesn’t take his robe off before going right on offense. E takes a powder and seeks comfort with Cookie. Kendrick tries telling Cookie that God has a plan for her. Cookie’s interference allows E to take control. E works Kendrick over and then throws him to the floor for a suplex. Back in the ring Kendrick tries to fire up but E cuts him off and goes for the neckbreaker. Kendrick blocks it and lands a superkick to get the win in about 6 minutes.

WINNER – Brian Kendrick, *3/4

Backstage Jeremy Borash is with Tara, who will be free from Madison Rayne tonight if Mickie James gets the victory. Tara doesn’t’ cut very good promos. Rayne comes in and degrades Tara yet again on her way to the ring.

MATCH #3: TNA Knockout Women’s Championship Match – Mickie James vs. Madison Rayne

Right after the opening bell, Tara comes out despite Rayne’s earlier orders to stay in the back. The distraction allows Mickie to take control, at least until Rayne throws her head into the ring post. Back in the ring Rayne cheats to keep the advantage. Rayne tries to use the loaded glove but Tara stops her. For having mixed emotions, Tara seems to be pretty firmly on Mickie’s side. And why wouldn’t she be? This angle makes no sense. The referee takes a bump. Tara gets in the ring with the loaded glove and has to make Sophie’s Choice, so of course she nails Rayne with the glove and Mickie gets the pin around 8 minutes in.

WINNER – Mickie James (retains title, Tara gains freedom), *

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Fortune, who all have important matches tonight except Daniels. I wonder what’s up with that.

MATCH #4: TNA X-Division Championship Match – Kazarian vs. Max Buck

Christy Hemme has been doing the ring introductions tonight, by the way. They take it down to the mat and exchange holds. Max takes the advantage and works Kazarian, showing off his arrogance and ego. I like it. Kazarian makes the comeback and hits a spinning leg lariat. He slams Max down and hits a nice springboard legdrop for two. Max comes back and hits a Buckle Bomb and the Diamond Dust but it only gets two. He goes up and hits an awesome 450 Splash but it only gets two. Kazarian comes back and hits a nasty Sunset Bomb from the apron to the floor. He rolls Max back in the ring but only gets a two-count. Max gets a quick inside cradle for two, but Kazarian drops him with a Shining Wizard to get the pin at about 11 minutes.

WINNER – Kazarian (retains), ***1/4

Borash is backstage with Abyss, who will fight the undefeated Crimson tonight. He runs through some of his more gruesome injures and promises to end Crimson’s streak.

MATCH #5: Abyss vs. Crimson

They start off with some power stuff, which is to be expected. Crimson knocks Abyss to the floor and works him over a bit. Back in the ring Abyss takes control. This goes on for several minutes. They clothesline each other and both men are down. Abyss resumes control but he can’t put Crimson away so he goes for Janice. Before he can connect with it Crimson hits a Spear for a two-count. Abyss comes back and hits a Vader Bomb but Crimson kicks out. Moments later Crimson hits the Red Sky (Sky-Hi Powerbomb) to get the pin at about 11 minutes.

WINNER – Crimson, **

MATCH #6: TNA World Tag Team Title Match – Beer Money vs. Matt Hardy & Chris Harris

Cold Blooded Matt Hardy just makes me laugh. Chris Harris having no idea when a good time to get in shape is just depresses me. The champs take the early advantage but Matt backs Roode into the corner and makes the tag. Harris lumbers around a bit before Roode regains control. Hardy tags back in and the champs take him down. Harris and Storm look for the epic showdown but Harris bails. The teams continue trading control back and forth, keeping Storm and Harris apart. After what seems like forever, Storm and Harris meet in the center of the ring and Storm goes crazy on him. Harris dumps Storm out but Storm skins the cat and Harris tries to bail. I can’t believe Harris used to have so much potential and this is the best he can do at this point. Storm hits Harris with the 8 Second Ride but it only gets two. The match breaks down and everyone starts throwing spinebusters. Good job guys. Beer Money sets up for the DWI but change their mind and hit the Death Sentence instead to get the pin on Harris. I forgot to time that, but it felt like forever.

WINNERS – Beer Money (still champions), *1/4

MATCH #7: Tommy Dreamer vs. AJ Styles

Tommy Dreamer as a heel? Hold my wallet back! This would have been a better match on TV to build up to AJ vs. Ray on PPV. It’s not hard. They brawl around for a bit and the referee does little since it’s a no DQ match. Dreamer takes control and wears Styles down with his mid-‘90s offense. They take it to the floor and of course Dreamer gets crotched on the guardrail. Styles hits the flying forearm off the other guardrail to send Dreamer into the crowd. Dreamer takes control out there but when he tries to bring a trash can into the ring Styles kicks it back into his face. They incorporate more weapons, since WRESTLING MATTERS. Bully Ray makes his way out and hits Styles with what looks like brass knuckles or a chain. Daniels comes out to chase Ray away, which almost gets no pop whatsoever. Anyway, Dreamer hits a piledriver to get the win at about 13 minutes.

WINNER – Tommy Dreamer, *1/2

MATCH #8: The Jarretts vs. Kurt Angle & Chyna

This feud has gone on longer than Jerry Lawler versus Michael Cole. The men start this one, and Angle is all smiles as he controls Jarrett with a headlock. The guys have a stunningly boring match as the crowd does nothing but chant for Chyna. I’m actually surprised she’s this over. WRESTLING MATTERS. The crowd just wants to see Chyna, and after almost 10 minutes they get their wish. Chyna slams Jarrett and hits him with a suplex. Finally Chyna gets a hold of Karen and delivers the Pedigree. Chyna then locks Karen in the Ankle Lock. Jarrett tries to keep her from tapping out, so Angle locks him in the Ankle Lock and Karen taps out at around 11 minutes.

WINNERS – Kurt Angle and Chyna, **

MATCH #9: TNA World Title Match – Sting vs. Rob Van Dam

Mr. Anderson comes out first to be the guest commentator. He is the number one contender after fall. WRESTLING MATTERS! Before they get around to locking up they’ve already gone longer than Sting versus Hardy back in March. Most of the attention is focused on Anderson as Sting and RVD go back and forth in the ring. They brawl around some more and take it into the crowd. They make it back to the ring and RVD misses the Five-Star Frog Splash and Sting hits the Scorpion Death Drop to get the win in about 12 minutes.

WINNER – Sting (retains), **1/4

Mr. Anderson says he has something special for Sting … on IMPACT! Oh seriously TNA, F U. Anderson leaves the table to congratulate Sting. They’ll face off at Slammiversary. See you then.

I grew up and now I write for Inside Pulse. Oh, and one time I saw a blimp!
