Steven Spielberg hasn’t met a genre he seemingly can’t conquer and now he’s tackling the one area he has never been before: animation.
With The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn being highly anticipated, its first poster has been revealed to Empire Online.
Adapted from the comic strip of the same name, Tintin is set during a largely realistic 20th century. The hero of the series is Tintin, a young Belgian reporter. He is aided in his adventures from the beginning by his faithful fox terrier dog Snowy. Spielberg has assembled quite the cast and crew for this one in voice talent.
Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Daniel Craig, Jamie Bell, Cary Elwes, Toby Jones, Mackenzie Crook and Daniel Mays all lend their voice talents to the film while Stevan Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish furnished the film’s screenplay. Peter Jackson and Spielberg are producing.
The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn is scheduled for release December 23, 2011.
