UFC Announces UFC Octagon Nation Tour

News

Today, the UFC announced the launch of UFC Octagon Nation Tour, a multi-stop, nationwide tour hitting the US this Summer. The tour will utilize a custom-tailored 18-wheeler and two Octagon-sized tents to create the UFC’s ultimate fan experience. Three of this summer’s top events are targeted including Bonnaroo Music Festival, Summer X Games and the Quicksilver Pro.

The tour will also hit major US cities such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, and Washington, D.C. as well a special stop at Times Square in NYC, where special activities and surprise fighters will be making appearances to celebrate UFC’s visit to the intersection of the world.

The tour kicked off this past April before UFC’s first event in Toronto and featured top UFC stars signing autographs as well as a UFC Xbox station and retail pop-up for official fighter merchandise. Fans will have a chance to check out an additional exhibition truck featuring rare UFC memorabilia like an autographed Royce Gracie Gi and Georges St-Pierre’s fight short.

There will also be physical fitness tests for fans (weigh-in, high jump, pull-up bar and a punch strength station) at which each visitor can receive a fight card with results of their effort and can be shared on their Facebook page. Those fans that garner the top results will see their scores posted on UFC.com/tour after each stop, making this a truly one-of-a-kind experience

“I’ve always said that the UFC live experience is the best in all of sports,” UFC President Dana White said. “With the Octagon Nation Tour, we are going to bring the fastest-growing sport in the world to some of the best events of the summer. We’re excited to hit the road and give fans the opportunity to check it out.”
