Tonight, UFC 130: Rampage vs. Hamill at 9 PM ET from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our live coverage will commence with the main card beginning at 9 PM ET.

The event is headlined by former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson taking on former “The Ultimate Fighter” contestant Matt “The Hammer” Hamill. In the co-main event of the evening, former UFC Heavyweight title holder Frank Mir goes head-to-head with Roy “Big Country” Nelson.


Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Matt “The Hammer” Hamill

Round 1

Leg kick from Hamill. Rampage tries to counter, but pulls the punches back. Hamill shoots in and Rampage stuffs it and swings to punish him. Head kick deflected by Rampage. Hamill misses a head kick but follows with a leg kick. Leg kick from Hamill. Hamill leads with a punch, but Rampage tries to time a counter. Leg kick from Hamill connects. He’s landing leg kicks at will early. Hamill reaches out for a punch and Rampage misses a counter. Rampage stuffs another takedown. Jackson stuffs another takedown, but Rampage counters with a punch. Flurry of punches against the fence by Rampage and the two face off to end the round.

Rampage 10-9

Round 2

Kick from Hamill checked and Jackson counters with two big punches. Hamill shoots for a takedown and gets to the fence. Knees to the body on Hamill before Hamill throws him off. Left from Hamill gets air. Single leg from Matt misses and Rampage lands 3 punches as Hamill backs away toward the cage. Lead left from Rampage. Left from Rampage connects. Two punches from Hamill miss wildly. Big jab from Hamill. Leg kick from Hamill. Two takedown attempts from Hamill are stuffed. Rampage presses in and lands big shots to the head of Hamill. Body shots to Hamill against the fence followed by a big knee. The round ends with Rampage looking far more dominant.

Rampage 10-9

Round 3

Hamill comes out with a Superman punch that glances. Rampage counters with a right. Hamill shoots for a takedown and ends up clinched with Rampage. He walks Rampage to the cage but releases him and strikes him again. High kick from Hamill is blocked. Hamill clinches again as Rampage comes in and he maintains control against the fence. Hamill drops for the takedown, but he cannot get it and he gets out. Another shot from Hamill is stuffed and Rampage lands a hook. Rampage connects with a leg kick followed by a hook to Hamill’s jaw. Another strong leg kick from Rampage. Rampage presses Hamill to the fence and lands a solid knee to the body. Hamill reverses. Rampage presses the action after they release, faking a Superman punch and landing a knee to the body. Rampage fakes another flying elbow and clinches Hamill to the cage. Rampage swarms in for a finish, but the fight ends. Rampage seems to indicate to someone cageside that he broke his hand.

Rampage 10-9

Winner: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson via unanimous decision (30-29, 30-27, 30-27)

Post-fight, Rampage says that he came into the fight with a broken hand and joked with Joe Rogan that he tried some new things to impress Joe Rogan.


Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson

Round 1

Touch of gloves to start. Nelson swarms for a takedown and Mir reverses on the cage. Uppercut to the body from Nelson. Knee from Frank Mir as they part. Head kick misses for Frank. Right from Nelson lands clean. Nelson grapples for position against the fence. Knees to the body and head from Mir. Nelson controls against the cage. Fighters exchange knees to the body. Head kick from Nelson followed by a big hook. Judo toss into full mount for Frank Mir. Nelson regains position and returns to press him against the fence and ends the round with a knee to Mir’s body.

Mir 10-9

Round 2

Big right connects for Roy. Frank gets a takedown into half guard. Elbow to Nelson’s chin. Mir tries for the back, but Nelson walks free. Nelson is pressed to the cage by Mir again and both are dirty boxing on the fence. Frank Mir with another takedown but he cannot get mount. Roy stands back up and the two separate. Big knee and punch from Mir are countered with a big overhead right from Nelson. Roy gets him against the fence and cannot get the takedown. Nelson makes Mir carry his weight against the cage. Clean break by the ref and the two separate for the end of the round.

Mir 10-9

Round 3

Roy misses a big right. Frank hits a knee that Roy misses on a big overhand right. Another knee from Frank. Frank Mir presses Roy against the fence and Mir takes Nelson to the mat. Elbow strikes in half guard land for Mir. Mir pounds for a minute, but Nelson gets back to his feet once again. Big takedown from Mir. Mir in half guard lands short elbows. Nelson uses the space to rolls back to his feet, but Frank presses him against the cage against the fence. Another takedown from Mir and Mir begins spreading out big elbows on Nelson’s head. Nelson works free again but is held against the cage to end the round. Nelson is clearly spent.

Winner: Frank Mir by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26)


Stefan Struve vs. Travis Browne

Round 1

Leg kicks to open. Struve locks up with Browne and pushes him against the cage. Browne reverses positions and is warned for grabbing the top of the cage. Mazzagati breaks them up. Teep kick from Struve comes at head height. Struve launches a big body kick, but Browne catches. Struve is taken down by Browne. Struve gets up as Travis gets off of him. Struve tries for a D’arce choke, but Browne backs away. Anaconda choke from Struve that he pops out of. Struve is stood up by the ref. Nasty Superman punch from Travis Browne knocks Struve out. As he hits the mat, Struve eats another hammerfist before the fight is stopped.

Winner: Travis Browne by KO (R1, 4:11)


Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story

Round 1

Story comes out swinging. Alves lands a short right. Story shoots for a double leg and gets Pitbull down and tries to mount, but Alves is back to his feet. Story knees Alves’ hamstring multiple times. Alves gets a trip takedown, but Story gets free and they pop to their feet. Story shoots in again and presses Thiago against the fence. Kim Winslow breaks them on the fence after a stalemate. Story attacking with punches. As Thiago throws a knee, Story locks him up and forces Alves against the cage. Story opens up and lets out several huge shots on Alves that land. Thiago knees Story and the two end up in the center of the cage. Story swings wildly at Alves before grabbing him and throwing two knees to the body. Story is trying for the takedown as the round ends.

Story 10-9

Round 2

Thiago Alves starts the round with a leg kick. Story goes for a takedown and the two end up clinched. Both men escape. Story gets his takedown, but Alves gets up and gets a takedown of his own into half guard. With a bit of space, Story explodes back out of the takedown and gets Alves against the fence. Kim Winslow separates both fighters again. On the restart, Alves goes for a head kick and Story connects with a punch that stumbles Alves. Takedown by Story, but Alves is up again quickly. Thiago spins Story around on the fence and lays some knees into the thighs. Thiago Alves slips away and both men trade punches for the end of the round

Story 10-9

Round 3

Story rocks Thiago with punches to the body. Thiago lands a knee to the chin of Story that hurts him. Another knee from Alves hurts him again. Alves gets pressed against the fence by Story, who releases his opponent and hits a knee on the way out. Thiago lands several big punches. Story’s hands are much further down on defense now, but he steps in with a body shot. Alves defends a takedown and squirms away from the second attempt. Big left from Alves. Alves connects with another clean hook as Story comes in for a takedown. Alves presses Story against the cage, landing several knees in the process. Right hand from Alves on Story’s chin. Story eats another big punch. Story presses Alves against the fence and cannot get the takedown. Big knee from Story lands hard to the chin of Story, but Rick Story gets him against the cage. Alves gets free and throws a big head kick. Knees from Alves and both guys are slugging it out to end the fight. Alves is bleeding from the mouth. Story’s major damage is a weird cut on his right elbow.

Winner: Rick Story by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)


Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago

Round 1

Stann comes out early with a flurry that misses. Stann with early pressure. Cross from Santiago. Body kick from Jorge. Three punch combo lands from Stann. Leg kick from Stann. Santiago goes for a takedown and slips, but Stann lets him recover and stand up quickly. Leg kick to the left thigh of Stann. Stann counters with one of his own. Nasty leg kick from Stann that Santiago takes hard on the thigh. Head kick from Santiago misses. Two punch combo followed by a leg kick from Stann. Big left hook from Stann drops Santiago and Stann swarms him. Santiago is struggling to recover, but gets him into his guard. Stann is trying to finish with hammerfists and elbows. Bad position for Santiago. Big punches from Stann who has postured up and Santiago gets up to his feet. The round ends with both fighters standing.

Stann 10-9

Round 2

Santiago drives for a double leg and gets Stann against the fence. Stann breaks free and resumes striking the center of the cage. Two hooks from Stann land. Santiago with a high kick that’s blocked. Left hook from Stann hits a left hook that hurts Santiago. Santiago responds with a spinning back fist/elbow, but eats a punch. Stann catches a kick from Santiago and is forced to let go. Santiago misses a flying knee and slips on the landing. Leg kick from Stann as Santiago hits a right. Brian Stann levels Santiago with a HUGE right hand. Stann follows with bombs while standing and Herb Dean steps in to stop the fight.

Winner: Brian Stann by TKO (R2, punches, 4:29)
