David Cronenberg’s A Dangerous Method Trailer Debuts

Media, Trailers

Michael Fassbender is red-hot, career wise, right now and the only thing missing is a prestige piece to try and earn him some critical accolades. Consider that one solved with a teaming of Fassbender, David Cronenberg and Viggo Mortensen and A Dangerous Method. Christopher Hampton wrote the film based off his 2002 stage play The Talking Cure, itself based on the 1993 non-fiction book “A Most Dangerous Method” by John Kerr.

Plot Summary: Set on the eve of the World War I, A Dangerous Method is based on the turbulent relationships between fledgling psychiatrist Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender), his mentor Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen), and Sabina Spielrein (Keira Knightley), the troubled but beautiful young woman who comes between them.

No U.S release date has been set for the film.
