At the 2011 MMVAs, I had the opportunity to talk to Quebec band The New Cities and after releasing their debut album in 2009 (“Lost In City Lights”), they are gearing up for their second album release with Sony in September. The first single of the album, “Heatwave,” was just dropped to Canadian radio stations on Monday and I asked the guys about the track and how they came up with the band name.
