Jeph Loeb Is A Rebirther: _ _ _ _ _ Reborn

News, Top Story

Newsarama has come into a piece of Marvel Marketing proclaiming that Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness (who collaborated on Batman/Superman Public Enemies) are now leading the charge on a project known as _ _ _ _ _ Reborn.

Is one of the recently deceased coming back in December? Could it be the (Human) Torch? Or the just bit it Bucky (Fear Itself)? Is the five letter clue even important?

Comic legend Rob Liefeld seems to think it is, going so far as to commit his guess to Twitter.

“Safe bet is that it’s Cable. Matter of fact that’s my bet and I couldn’t be further out of the loop.”

As the creator of Cable and a fixture of Marvel’s X-Family as a result of New Mutants, Cable, and X-Force, Liefeld might be on the money, though he adds, “Of course that’s also my hope….I love Cable royalties!”

Newsarama was also quick to point out that Loeb and McGuinness had a project announced at last year’s SDCC that hasn’t seen the light yet.  What is known is that the “action packed story of epic proportion” will feature a “rebirthing”, and more will be announced on Saturday, July 23, 20011 during a Cup O’ Joe panel.

Is this a Next Big Thing like Joe Madureira on the new Spidey title? Any guesses on who might be reborn?

I’ll throw my money on Liefeld’s and declare that Cable will be Reborn. Unless it’s a typo and they meant six spaces to declare Heroes Reborn.
