Frank Miller’s “Batman: Year One” was the basis for the Christopher Nolan’s Batman universe, and the subject of an aborted film from Darren Aronofsky, and now has been turned into a film of its own, albeit animated.
Plot Summary: Based on the comic arc of the same name — which was written by Frank Miller, and illustrated by David Mazzucchelli — ‘Year One’ lives up to its name, serving as an origin story as to how the tragedies of Bruce Wayne’s life spurred him into becoming the costumed crime-fighter affectionately known as Batman.
