Mirko Cro Cop Rumored to Face Roy Nelson at UFC 137

News

After an embarrassing knockout defeat at the hands of Brendan Schaub at UFC 128, many fans were calling for Mirko Cro Cop to hang it up. It appeared that his best days are long behind him after his 2nd consecutive KO defeat, but this morning, Cro Cop, in an appearance on a Croatian sports show “Gol,” announced that he would be facing Roy “Big Country” Nelson in the final fight on his UFC contract. The fight is set to take place at the not-yet-confirmed UFC 137.

The fight will also be a big one for “The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights” winner Nelson, who has lost back-to-back decisions to Junior dos Santos and Frank Mir.

It is expected that Cro Cop will not receive a new deal after this fight, but if Nelson should lose, he will probably be on his way out of UFC as well.

UFC 137 rumored to take place on October 29th in Las Vegas.
