In a shocking turn of events, CM Punk defeated John Cena to win the WWE Title in the main event of WWE Money in the Bank 2011.
In a great 30+ minute match that had the hottest WWE crowd in recent memory, Vince McMahon came out near the finish with John Laurenitis to “ring the bell” while Punk was in the STFU, but not tapping. Cena punched Laurenitis to stop him, then went back into the ring.
However, Punk grabbed Cena and hit Go To Sleep and pinned him for the title.
