After a humiliating beatdown by Thiago Silva, Brandon Vera looked to be on his way out of UFC. His was at the tail end of a three-fight losing streak when he got the bad news, however, through his opponent’s sheer stupidity, the result was overturned after Silva tried to doctor a urine test. After the resulting scandal, Vera is getting “one last chance” it appears and it will come against Eliott Marshall at UFC 137.
His opponent for UFC 137, Eliott Marshall, is on his second stint in UFC with an overall record of 3-2. His last fight was a loss to Luiz Cane.
UFC 137 will take place October 29th in Las Vegas, Nevada. The UFC Welterweight championship will be on the line as Georges St. Pierre takes on former Strikeforce Welterweight champ Nick Diaz and in the co-main event BJ Penn fights Carlos Condit.
