In tonight’s episode of So You Think You Can Dance Canada, hip hop dancer Rodrigo Basurto and Lauren Lyn were the next two dancers eliminated out of the SYTYCDC Top 20.
Basurto never seemed to recover from the concussion he suffered on last week’s results show and while the result was expected from his end, the shocker was Lauren Lyn who danced phenomenally well at Saturday’s taping and Monday’s broadcast.
Even more stunning were the other two couples that filled out the bottom three. Boneless & Carlena and JP & Denitsa were also in danger but saved by the judges. Boneless & Carlena danced the best routine so their lack of support is definitely a grave injustice. It was clearly a bad night for hip hop as Boneless, JP and Rodrigo were all in the bottom and all from that genre.
It was also stunning that Kevin & Teya and Matt & Shelaina both managed to pull through given their less than stellar performances.
