In an early announcement to retailers, Universal Studios Home Entertainment has revealed Bridesmaids for a Blu-ray release on Tuesday, September 20, 2011.
The comedy became one of the sleeper hits of the summer with its arrival in May, staying in the top ten list for eight consecutive weeks. It currently carries a certified fresh rating of 90% at Rotten Tomatoes and has grossed more than $220 million worldwide.
Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph headline the comedy and are joined by Rose Byrne (Get Him to the Greek), Melissa McCarthy (TV’s “Mike and Molly”), Wendi McLendon-Covey (“Reno 911″), Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”), and Chris O’Dowd (Pirate Radio). Bridesmaids will be released in multiple formats, including Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD Combo Pack, DVD and Digital Download.
