Helena Bonham Carter And Two Others Saddle Up For Lone Ranger

Wait, Johnny Depp AND Helena Bonham Carter? Does Gore Verbinksi think he’s the new Tim Burton?

It is being reported that Carter, Dwight Yoakam and Barry Pepper are all in talks to join the cast of Disney’s The Lone Ranger.

Verbinski, Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer, the trifecta behind the ever popular Pirates of the Caribbean series (minus On Stranger Tides), are hoping to strike franchise gold once again. The film will star Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as the titular hero and Depp will take the reigns of sidekick extraordinaire once gain as Tonto, who will play a much more prominent role than in previous incarnations of the character.

If all the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed, Carter will play the madam of a brothel, Yaokam the villainous leader of an evil gang and Pepper a military officer.

Already locked in for production is Tom Wilkinson, who will play a railroad tycoon with questionable intentions.

Filming is planned to begin mid-October in Texas and New Mexico.

Carter can currently be seen in theaters giving her final performance as the evil Bellatrix LeStrange in the record-breaking Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
