SDCC: Marvels ‘Fearless’ An Answer To DC’s Bi-Weekly Brightest Day Events?

News

Brightest Day and Justice League: Generation Lost have been over and wrapped up for months now, but with Marvel announcing the new bi-weekly ‘Fearless’ titles, coming out of Fear Itself, it’s all I can think of.

Brightest Day spun out of Blackest Night, an event that shook up the DCU for a few months, and it featured a cast of characters that were returned to life in Blackest Night.

Fearless looks to be much in the same vein. The cover shows Sin, Juggernaut, and Thing still wielding their hammers, as well as Valkyrie. Captain America and Crossbones are front and center with Reed, Sue, and Hulk in the back.

Fearless is set to be a twelve issue bi-weekly mini-series by Matt Fraction, Cullen Bunn, and Christopher Yost with art by Mark Bagley and Paul Pelletier. The pitch makes it sound as if it will be the place to go to see what happens next with the characters involved in Fear Itself, as well as a place for the Marvel Universe to explore the aftermath of an event that has  been little more than giant disaster after giant disaster with a dead Bucky thrown in for good measure.

Fearless launches in October.
