Matthew Riddle and UFC Newcomer Lance Benoist Square off at “Battle on the Bayou”

UFC’s “Battle on the Bayou” card received another addition today:

UFC president Dana White announced today that undefeated welterweight prospect Lance Benoist hasverbally agreed to make his UFC debut September 17 in New Orleans against always-aggressive TUF alum Matthew Riddle.

All of Riddle’s professional fights have been in the UFC. He is coming off of a loss to Sean Pierson via unanimous decision at UFC 124 in December. Benoist is 5-0 with all of his wins coming via first round stoppage.

“UFC Fight Night Live: Battle on the Bayou” originates from the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA on September 17th. Welterweights Jake Shields and Jake Ellenberger will clash in the main event.
