David Lagana of IWantWrestling posted a very candid piece on his experience with CM Punk, mainly during his time in 2007. He describes the mockery Punk endured from Vince McMahon on his Straightedge lifestyle, his use of the Anaconda Vice, and more. The piece says that McMahon looked at Punk and “didn’t get it.” It also goes on to reveal Shawn Michaels as a voice of reason and unexpected ally of Punk’s during the meetings where they would bash him.
It was an interesting read, as he details the hoops Punk had to jump through, and discusses what might not have been if no one had rallied for him in 2007.
