The Book I Want to Buy:

Days Missing Vol. 2: Kestus

by Phil Hester and David Marquez; Archaia, $24.95

The first Days Missing series was pretty cool.  It featured a man very much like DC’s The Phantom Stranger; an immortal who has the ability to fold time, effectively erasing a day to give him a chance to correct the course of human history, and keep mankind on track.  This man is known as The Steward, and while we don’t learn much about him, we do learn that he may not be the only such entity.

I don’t know much about the second volume of this series.  When I saw that it wasn’t going to be done by artists like Frazier Irving, I chose to trade-wait it, and never paid attention to the reviews.  From what I understand, where the first volume was a string of done-in-ones with no more than a thematic connection to one another, this volume tells a single story.

Phil Hester is always a good writer (whom we don’t see enough from – more Firebreather please!), so I’m sure it will be a fine comic.

So, what would you buy Were Money No Object?
