In part two of a series on IWantWrestling, Dave Lagana continues where he left off, detailing CM Punk’s trials and tribulations within the WWE. This time, the blog focuses on the feud with Benoit. Punk was to go up against Benoit at Vengeance, but as we all know, he never showed.
Lagana goes on to confirm Punk’s sudden push after months of fighting it was due to the negative image placed on the company, and the desire to push a Straightedge Superstar.
Definitely a great read, as it really paints a picture of the mind frames the big boys had during that time.
