In an early announcement to retailers, THQ has new details surrounding its upcoming video game WWE ’12. Dropping the Smackdown vs. Raw brand in favor of a calendar year titled release (think Madden NFL 2012), the company is offering an incentive program for those who pre-order the game in the United States and Canada.
WWE legend, The Rock, will be a playable character for those who pre-order the game at any participating retailer (includes Amazon.com, Best Buy, GameStop and Wal-Mart) for the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 video game platforms. (Note: The Rock is already included as a playable character for the Wii release.)
Also, if you pre-order at GameStop in the United States or EB Games in Canada you will receive a bonus attire for WWE Superstar The Miz (while supplies last). The bonus attire includes an “I’m Awesome†entrance T-shirt, as well as one of his trademark business suits.
WWE ’12 has a scheduled release date of November 22, 2011.
