Flashpoint Spoilers: Who Killed The Secret Seven?

Spoilers

Despite the book leading you to believe that Shade had done the deed himself in his madness, this his actions were responsible for the pain dealt to the various members, that he had murdered them and could no longer remember, there is a twist at the end.

That the Enchantress, not June Moon, is in control throughout the issue. That she knows how to manipulate Shade, among others. That she used him to freeze Raven and Mindwarp’s astral forms in the real world, saying she wanted to stop fighting, just to kill them when they were disabled. Zatanna used a death spell to bring her down, and it was a life for a life as Z went down…but Enchantress recovered without a scratch, and left Shade alone in a room of corpses and madness.

A spell from the Enchantress is what turned the Seven against Shade, creating a disruption in his vest that hurt everyone he attempted to summon. In fact, the only thing left vague is whether she killed Amethyst, or if Shade was manipulated into doing it.

The real twist? She did this all while working under an arrangement with Penthesilea, the aunt of Diana of Themyscira. The one who’s plotting in the past had left to the death of Queen Hippolyta. Oh, and then there’s the fact that it makes a lot of sense (and removes the random factor) from the heel turn Enchantress went through during Flashpoint #4.
