Rad Martinez, recent Bellator Fighting Championships signing, will make his debut with the company on September 17th as he takes on Brian Van Hoven at Bellator 50.
The event will take place at The Seminole Hard Rock & Casino in Hollywood, Fla.
Martinez was profiled in July on ESPN in a feature called “The Promise”, which focused on a son’s love for his disabled father as he functions as the primary caregiver for his his father, Richard. The elder Martinez was injured in a 1991 car accident and he’s in a near-vegetative state.
