WWE ’12 marks a new direction in THQ’s very successful line of WWE video games. Previously the series had been a SmackDown! brand followed by the SmackDown! vs. Raw series of video games. However, this sequel to SmackDown! vs. Raw 2011 drops SvR to be the first game in the “WWE series.” Listening to the fans, the development team has retooled the gaming engine and included such features as “Predator Technology” and controller options that are more in line with 2003’s SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain – arguably THQ’s best WWE video game release overall. With the tagline of “Bigger, Badder, Better,” THQ hopes that WWE ’12 is the best wrestling game yet.
At a WWE Axxess event in Los Angeles, THQ announced the rosters.
