Sure, Frank Capra’s holiday classic gets shown ad nauseam on TV every year, but do they show it in high def?
Paramount Home Entertainment has announced yet another new edition of their immortal Christmas classic, It’s a Wonderful Life.
Special features wise, this gift set won’t be offering anything new. Wonderful Life was released on Blu-Ray in 2009 and those same two discs will be included here (which has both B&W and colorized versions of the film). However, if you never got around to picking this up before, now you can get it packaged in a fancy shadow box with a new commemorative booklet and a collectible bell ornament.
A release date of November 1st, 2011 has been confirmed.
In case you’ve been living under a rock your whole life, the film stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man tries to kill himself and instead of dying is given the opportunity to see what life would have been like if he’d never been born at all.
Paramount has set the SRP of the Gift Set at $29.99. Being that this is the same SRP as the current version, a price reduction may be in the works for the movie-only edition. Pre-orders for the Gift Set should be available on Amazon soon.
