Josh Barnett Pulled from IGF Pro Wrestling Event

News

Josh Barnett’s original contract with Strikeforce allowed him to take dates with pro-wrestling organizations such at Japan’s IGF. Under Zuffa’s watch, it looks like those days are long gone.

Fighters Only Magazine is reporting that Barnett has been asked to withdraw from an August 27th pro-wrestling appearance as Barnett is scheduled to face Sergei Kharitonov in the semifinals of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix on September 10th.

While the outcome of the IGF match would have been predetermined, Zuffa had to be wary of any potential injury issues that could arise from his participation.

He was originally scheduled to face K-1 legend Jerome Le Banner.
