One of the things Martin Scorsese has done over the years that has taken a backseat to his career as a story-teller has been his ability to be a documentary film-maker. After the brilliance that was No Direction Home, Scorsese returns to tackling unique vantage points on famous rock stars with a look at George Harrison of the Beatles in Living in the Material World.
Plot Summary: The film will follow Harrison’s story from his early life in Liverpool, the success of Beatlemania, his travels to India, the influence of Indian culture in his music, and his relevance and importance as a member of The Beatles. It will consist of previously unseen footage and interviews with Olivia and Dhani Harrison, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono, Eric Clapton, Jeff Lynne, Eric Idle, Phil Spector and Tom Petty.
