Minnesota Vikings New Stadium to be Voted Upon

News

The Minnesota Vikings want a new publicly funded stadium, but policy makers, notably Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch, want a referendum to vote whether fans and residents of the state want to fund that stadium.  November 2012 is the point that this could be voted upon, but opposition does exist under the logic that with the economy as is, there is absolutely nothing that will make constituents vote for higher taxes.  Time will tell if the referendum is allowed and, if so, if the results are as straightforwardly negative as many expect.
