Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson Agrees to Extension, Reports to Camp

News

The Titans and hold-out RB Chris Johnson agreed to a four-year extension worth $53 million, with $30 million of that guaranteed.  The Titans open Sept 11 at Jacksonville, and the team wanted Johnson to be able to practice with QB Matt Hassleback prior to that game.  Johnson is arguably the best RB in the NFL, having lead the NFL in rushing yards the past 3 seasons and becoming only the sixth man to rush for 2000 yards ever, in 2009.
