NBA Lockout: Owners and Players Meet for 6 Hours Wednesday

News

Yesterday, the NBA owners met with the players for a 6-hour session, their first since August 1 and only the second since the lockout began.  With the season coming up, there is reportedly renewed urgency to get the deal done and not miss any games.  Commissioner David Stern believes there is time for a deal to get done and refuses to set a deadline to cancelling games at this time.  Neither the owners or players will discuss specifics any longer with the media, noting that caused problems at their last meeting.  More meetings are planned.
