TNA Champion Kurt Angle Arrested on DUI Charge Following House Show

News, Top Story

TNA World Champion Kurt Angle was arrested early Sunday morning following a house show in Woodstock, Va.

According to a TMZ report, Angle was seen swerving in and out of his lane, and was pulled over by Virginia state troopers. He was then taken to Warren County Jail, posted $2,000 bond, and was released.

Also of note is that just this past March, Angle — who is also vying for a coveted spot on the 2012 U.S. Olympics team — was sentenced to one year of “unsupervised probation” for reckless driving that included a suspended jail sentence as well as chemical dependency evaluations. Therefore, this latest arrest could spell even deeper legal trouble for the 1996 Gold Medalist.

No word yet on whether this will affect or alter TNA Wrestling’s current plans for the World Title picture.
