Rory MacDonald vs. Brian Ebersole Confirmed For UFC 140

News

Buried under the exciting news of Ben Henderson vs. Clay Guida and Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem, a gem of a match has been signed for UFC 140 in Toronto.

UFC.com and Dana White confirmed today that Rory Macdonald will take on Brian Ebersole in a welterweight bout. “Two of the welterweight division’s most promising contenders have verbally agreed to fight as Brian ‘Bad Boy’ Ebersole takes on Rory ‘Ares’ MacDonald December 10 in Toronto,” said UFC President Dana White.

This will be Rory MacDonald’s first fight back in Canada since his slamming win over Nate Diaz at UFC 129 in front of 55,000+ fans. Both fighters are fan favorites and it should be interesting to see how this fight pans out. Even though only one other fight has been officially announced for UFC 140, you can expect this bout to take place on the main-card.
