Prior to Edge’s retirement in April, World Wrestling Entertainment was already considering a new Edge DVD release for a late 2011 bow. Now, according to sources and WrestleZone, it looks like a new Edge DVD is in development.
While nothing is confirmed by WWE or its distributors, the release seems tangible noting his retirement this year, plus his last release (2008’s A Decade of Decadence) did not include a biographical documentary just three discs filled with matches.
Considering the stellar work WWE did on Randy Orton’s doc in Randy Orton: The Evolution of a Predator (read our review), this has the potential of becoming a worthwhile doc about a superstar’s career cut short due to injuries.
