Political Intrigue Highlights New Ides Of March Clips

Media, News, Projects, Video

It appears that George Clooney’s Ides of March wants to be the first film of the fall to muscle its way for awards consideration. The film has already played at three film festivals (in Venice, Telluride and Toronto) and hits theaters in early October. The political drama, which features the dynamite pairing of Clooney and Ryan Gosling has gotten respectable – not scream it from the rooftops in adulation – reviews, but the real test will be with audiences, specifically older adults looking for weightier fare at the movie theater.

With its theatrical trailer reportedly being spolierish and a flirty clip with Evan Rachel Wood and Gosling making the rounds, here are three new clips that get us deeper inside the political intrigue in which Gosling’s character, a twenty-something presidential campaign spinmeister, plays dirty to get his candidate (played by Clooney) the presidential nomination.

Ides of March goes to the voting block on October 7th.
