Oakland Raiders – 35, Buffalo Bills – 38

Rhett Davis:  With a very back-and-forth battle, the Buffalo Bills squeeze out a win thanks to a last minute pass from Fitzpatrick to Nelson.  Controversy surrounded the final play as Oakland’s Campbell lobbed a ball to Demetrius Moore which was intercepted.  After long review post-game, the call on the field held and the Bills were victorious.

Daniels: It’s unfortunate the Bills are in a division with two really good teams.  It’s also unfortunate they’ll lose another home game to Toronto.  It’s at least fortunate that it’s an early season game instead of the normal deep in the heart of November and weather advantage game.

Glazer: I still felt Oakland was the better team here, but they kept shooting themselves in the foot with a big lead.  McFadden running with that lead alone should have really gotten them the game, but, as someone recently told me, Ryan Fitzpatrick doesn’t usually look great thanks to a lack of talent around him and the weather in Buffalo, but he’s actually a very competent QB.  Buffalo might be a playoff team were it not in a division with the Jets and Patriots, but, well, moving in the right direction is good, as is controlling what they can – being a good football team that doesn’t quit.
