The Rager- The Awesome Truth of Double Sin Cara

Columns, Top Story

After a fun-filled, exhausting (by my old-man standards) weekend, here is your all-time favorite wrestling/entertainment-based, nonsensical and yet still surprisingly sticky Rager. If you don’t know already, me llamo Chris and I have all the answers because I am your gondolier charged with the duty (tehe) to sift through the shenanigans, madness and baby-town frolics of the WWE and present unto each and every one of you a golden nugget.

Well…
I don’t have any of that for you but don’t blame me, blame WEE for giving us yet another “you’re fired” story line. I know you’ve heard of plenty of people saying the exact same thing as I’m about to but you can hear it one more time, it builds character.
Lets look at this, we just had the whole firing of Kevin Nash before NoC and him coming back to interrupt Punk/HHH and before that there was the MitB situation where Punk was leaving and Cena was suppose to get fired and I guess we can also count Vince getting the boot by the board. Also, this time last year, we were watching Cena fail against the Nexus and getting fired.
After mentioning all this, I have but one question: Why is WEE creative for fire-happy during the summer/fall?
I know WEE likes to be overly shocking this time of year to keep us tied over until Wrestlemania and that build-up and I guess they assume we’ll all be shocked (over and over again) if a guy got fired and then we’ll be equally as shocked to see that same person make some sort of return!
What makes this worse for me is that its all part of a story line that gets another wrinkle in it every show and adds on to what is already confusing and now its gotten to the point where I don’t even WEE creative can keep up with what they’re doing.
And I guess I can’t completely blame WEE for why I can’t deliver a golden nugget this week, I do bear (grr) some sort of responsibility and my involvement in the most awesome/dorky bachelor’s party this weekend (laser tag in suits, steaks and playing xbox in a movie theater…be jealous) but still, kind of a lame week in my opinion. Like, I’m confused because I’m assuming this is going to lead to something for Survivor Series, yes? Are recently fired talent going to join up for a elimination tag match against the already announced team of Cena, Rock and whoever-else-wants-to-join-but-not-really-as-important-at-all? Your thoughts?

Cara y Cara: A Booker T Nightmare
As some may remember, I was very much going along with the theory that Mystico-Cara was out the door because, well, I despise all things that resemble Rey Mysterio. Now we have the whole double Sin Cara fiasco because according some reports, our good friends at WEE wanted a mask vs. mask situation but Rey Mysterio is on the shelf for a while. I’m mentioning this for one big reason, it has brought the absolute worst (and by worst, I mean best) out of the commentary stylings of one Booker T. Now we get him making even more of an idiot out himself by claiming he can tell the two apart (without mentioned the obvious fact that one has some dyed hair sticking out the back of the mask). I don’t have a huge point about all this except for the fact that I’d much rather have William Regal step up to Smackdown and lets end the Booker T experiment. I mean, lets be honest, if Mick Foley on commentary didn’t work for the WWE, then Booker T definitely shouldn’t work.
Side note: Is it really necessary to still have Michael Cole at both shows now? Or is WEE REALLY going for the whole Three’s Company commentary situation?

Chris’ Raging Movie Corner
This past week, I finally got around to watch Bad Teacher because of my man-crush Jason Segal (the Muppet Movie needs to come out now!). And for all of you that would like to see BT…don’t. That is all…oh, I watched Me & Orson Welles again, its on Instant View, highly recommended…because I know you all hold my opinions of film in high regard.

The TV Corner
For the love of all things sacred and right in the world, go watch Community! Six seasons and a movie!

Music Corner
I’m super late to get on the Queens of the Stone Age wagon but I did so recently and I must say that their album “Songs of the Deaf” is intoxicating and addictive in all the right ways.

The Self-Promoting Corner
Follow me on Twitter so we can be super cool and have super cool conversations…like totally.
Also, like I’ve been doing, I will continue to plug our 48-hour Film Festival entry.

Well that about ends things for me this week, join me next week where I give you my thoughts (in the classical failure of a list fashion) directly following the not-at-all rushed PPV, Hell in a Cell. If you wanna add on to anything I’ve said, comment below. If you wanna rip me a new one and tell me how wrong I probably am, comment below. If you want to just say hello or just talk about something else, like movies, tv, politics, koalas, whatever, comment below. Be sure to check back during the week and read all the great upcoming articles here at Pulse Wrestling. In the meantime…

Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do twice.
Chris
