Got a quick casting blurb. Jessica Chastain, who is just killing it this year with her body of work (already she’s been seen in The Tree of Life, The Help, and The Debt – and still has Take Shelter, Texas Killing Fields and Coriolanus to be released) will star alongside Tom Cruise in an apocalyptic drama from Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski.
The untitled project, previously titled Oblivion, then Horizons, revolves around the last man on Earth (Cruise) who patrols the land killing predatory aliens until he encounters a beautiful intruder who makes him question his purpose on Earth.
Still in pre-production, the film looks to drop into theaters summer 2013. It’s current date of release is July 19, 2013.
