CM Punk Gives Interview, Toes WWE Line

News

CM Punk gave an interview to promote Raw, and whether he’s completely homoginized into WWE machine or the writer chose poor quotes, he didn’t offer up much but platitudes:

“I always saw myself as a wrestling superstar. If I got fired today, I would still be a wrestler tomorrow. I’d probably be wrestling extensively in Japan. I’m not somebody who failed at football and just tried wrestling.”

“I just don’t think I am what they think is what a wrestler should act like, look like or be,” Punk said. “I have a chip on my shoulder. I speak my mind. They’re not in love with that. They want somebody who falls in line and talks about how great the WWE is.”

You mean like this?

“I respect the hell out of the guy because he keeps me sharp. Everybody should want to face him. I never got my rematch. This is a chance for me to get the title back. “I’ve beat him in the past. He’s beaten me. It’s almost all mind games.”

Oh, you rebel.
