In a recent interview, The Vampire Diaries‘ executive producer Julie Plec revealed some major upcoming plot points.
She said that Elena (Nina Dobrev) will finally start to admit that she has a thing for Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and that the upcoming episode will start this process beginning with her admitting how she really feels. Apparently, Elena’s friends will be the ones responsible for her to see beyond Stefan.
Also, Tyler and Caroline fans won’t be happy. While the pair’s romance is blossoming given that they have connected over Tyler’s mother and Caroline’s father both not accepting their ‘monster’ status, but something will go ‘terribly wrong’ for the pair and that this trouble will plague them for the majority of the season.
