If you thought that Hal’s life couldn’t be any worse without his ring, you were wrong. Sinestro shows up on his doorstep needing to talk, and the door isn’t even his anymore because of the eviction notice. So now he’s got Sinestro rubbing it in, and it couldn’t get any worse.
Except that Sinestro makes him a Green Lantern ring, and Hal is given back his powers.
What do you mean that’s awesome and an instant improvement? You haven’t even heard the catch yet!
Sinestro created it. It has as much power as he wants it to have. It can’t attack Sinestro. And he can turn it off at will.
Hal is a Green Lantern again…under Sinestro’s terms.
He may have been better off without the ring.
